But her second cookbook is a disappointment to me

I am a fan of Angela Liddon's first cookbook and her blog. But her second cookbook is a disappointment to me. There are several recipes on her blog already...endurance crackers, green taco wraps with lentil walnut meat, oh em gee veggie burgers. Im surprised that she included almond butter, more chia seed pudding (with different fruit only...I dont need a recipe for that), overnight oats, guacamole and avacado toast (again...no recipe needed). But the killer for me was the Reset Button Green Smoothie written as two separate recipes....one family size and one half batch. I can do the math myself and I dont need my cookbook to do this for me! I would have to think twice before buying another cookbook of hers.

Disappointing for OSG fans

Let me preface by saying I am a huge fan of Angela’s, I have followed her blog for years and her recipes are always in my rotation. That being said, I could not wait until her new cookbook came out. After doing an initial flip through, I was stunned to realize I had no desire to cook anything in there! As other customers have mentioned, many of the recipes are already on her blog or can be found in her old cookbook. Even the ones that were new seemed uninventive and recycled. While there were an abundance of desserts recipes, I was extremely disappointed at the lack of entrees and savory dishes. If you already own her first cookbook and are familiar with her blog, there is no need to buy this new cookbook, this was a very disappointing follow up.

A few gems, but still more than a little disappointed

As a huge Oh She Glows fan, it totally kills me to write this review.
Like many of the other reviewers, I was very disappointed by OSG Everyday. Here are my central complaints:
1. The recipes are far from "accessible" - many require specialty ingredients that are difficult to find. I live in Chicago and have visited THREE Whole Foods and still can't find black sesame seeds for her sun dried tomato crackers or sorghum for her tabbouleh recipe. Her caramel sauce requires coconut nectar, which is expensive, a smoothie recipe calls for coconut butter (also expensive) and many recipes call for cashew butter (again, expensive). I also can't find spelt breadcrumbs anywhere.
2. The recipes can take a while. For a cookbook that is being marketed as filled with recipes for people with "on the go lifestyles", numerous recipes begin with "so this one is a little involved" and are not suitable for quick weeknight meals. I made her Oh Em Gee veggie burgers and even after making the 9 spice mixture and her barbecue sauce in advance, the recipe still took over an hour to make. I want to make her vegan Shepard's Pie next and that one is also far from an easy or quick meal.
3. Many of the recipes are recycled from her blog: sweet potato casserole, the crispy smashed potatoes, the 9 spice mix (essentially the 10 spice mix with turmeric and without the garlic powder), lentil walnut taco meat, sunflower seed butter and crumble bars to name a few. She also includes a recipe for almond butter and another recipe for hummus, which was in her first cookbook.
I feel like she took on too much at one time and this cookbook definitely shows it. I made her sweet potato spinach "curry" and was totally disappointed. The dish was labeled a curry but contained no curry powder or paste and was pretty flavorless.
There are some good recipes mixed in there: the mango matcha smoothie is delicious, her pumpkin snack cookies and cookie dough bites are also exceptional. Overall, I just am not sure if this book is worth buying.
